Hi everyone,
I've seen the cute little bags in Home Goods that have different mixes in them (cocoa mix, Christmas pancake mix, Snowman cookie mix etc). They usually have the tops of them folded down with a hole punched in the top below the folded part and a ribbon threaded through holding either a small wire whisk or cookie cutter to the bag. Does anyone know where I can find recipes to fill the bags with? They look like they would be fairly easy to make and would make a great favor for the teaparties that we have at our church and in my home. _________________ ...as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord... On Allrecipes.com you can find brownie, cookie, and beverage mix recipes that are meant for a jar, but can be converted to putting in a bag. I know there's a baking mix on there, too, that can be used like Bisquick for making biscuits, pancakes, etc. I use it all the time and it works great.
Julia also has some links to recipes on her main site; here's the link directly to the jar recipes: www.creativeladiesministry.com/jarrecipes.html
I have a few recipes that use, including a really good potato soup one. When I get a chance to look through my recipe box, I'll post it here for you. |

| I never thought of using gift bags. I have made the mixes using canning jars, with material over the top of the lid, wrapped with some raffia string. Tess |

| I'm going to post a few recipes in the Food and Recipes forum for the Baking Mix and Potato Soup that can be used in bags or jars. I thought it might be easier to find there. |
