this is a real hit in our family (and with any guests)... but definately not one to try if you're trying to cut down on calories!!
- 500 ml whipping cream
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/2 cup castor sugar
- chocolate pieces/fruit/candy/ etc
whipp first three ingredients till it resembles whipped cream. Add chocolate/fruit or whatever you want to flavour it with. Pour into a container and freeze. |

This sounds absolutely wonderful, but I have to admit - I don't know the conversion from ml. to fluid oz. Does anyone have any idea? Also, what is castor sugar? I know cane sugar, beet sugar, baker's sugar, confectioner's sugar, but I've never heard of castor sugar. Any idea what the American equivalent would be?
This sounds like a great recipe to try this summer! |

Hi Bethany!!!!
So lovely to hear from you again!!!
Hmmm - I am terrible at converting measurements - but I will look in my cookbook for you. Also - castor sugar is a very fine granule white sugar which is really good for baking. I am not sure what the american equivalent would be but I will as a friend over here who is american.
I'll let you know.... |

| It sounds like the castor sugar is basically just the same as our granulated sugar, maybe a little finer granules. Thanks for the explanation. |
