1 cup margarine
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup molasses
3/4 cup dark corn syrup
3 eggs
8 1/2 cups A.P. flour
1 TBSP. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. ginger

Cream softened margarine and sugars. Add molasses, corn syrup and eggs. Beat until smooth. Combine flour, soda, salt, and spices. Stir into creamed mixture. note: Dough will be stiff.
Divide dough in half and form into two balls. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill 2 hours. On lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 1/8 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes using cookie cutters. If making as ornments use a drinking straw to cut a hole in the top of the cookie for hanging. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on cooling racks.
To decorate I use white almond bark that is melted in microwave according to package directions. Melt in microwave in a plastic bag and snip corner of bag to pipe icing onto the cookie to make the outline, eyes, nose, mouth or to decorate as you please.
I pipe three dots of the melted almond bark in the area where his shirt would be and place a cinnamon drop candy onto the icing while it's warm warm to make the buttons.
Any kind of white chocolate will do. Just melt it in a storage or freezer bag in the microwave. Also make sure that you do it according to the package directions.
