I'm sure many of you have already seen or heard about this horrible thing that happened in Lancaster County, PA on the news. It's less than 15 minutes from my house. We pass it at least 2 or 3 times a week and wave at these beautiful children. They are so cute & they always wave back. It's so hard to believe that something like this could happen so close to my front door. Everyone is in shock & heartbroken. I'm not going to go into the awful details...you can read about it on any major news website or watch it on your TV if you want more details. It's all over every network.

Please keep these parents in your prayers as well as these children. How traumatic for them! Their lives are forever changed.

Please also pray for the executioner's family. He has a wife & 3 kids. No one would have suspected he would ever do something like this.

Finally, please pray for the spiritual effect that this will have on our community. It may be a time when many will be more open to hear the Gospel, or it could go the other way since the Amish are considered "radical" Christians to the lost in our community. People may wonder why God would allow such a thing to happen to them.

Such sadness fills my heart. I look at my little girl & just thank God that she is safe here at home with me today.

I started praying as soon as I saw it on the news. I know that not just the shooting and peace for the families that we need to pray for. I know that the media is shaking them up as well. I saw the mothers crying and hugging each other. I know that they don't like to be photographed. I lived in PA for awhile growing up. I also have gone thru the amish country side and learned about them. My heart aches for them right now.
