Thank you all so much for your prayers. God is working. Things aren't perfect, but I know that God is on the scene. Keep us in prayer. We are getting a Foreign Exchange Student from Slovakia in August. She is going to stay with us until the end of May. We are so excited. We tried to adopt last year and had the children in our home, but they changed their mind. God has a way of putting who He needs where He needs them. I'm thankful He is in charge and not me!!!

How exciting! I'll certainly be praying for you as you add this addition to your family for the next several months!
I have a little girl who we were blessed with through adoption. When she was almost 2 we were in the process of adopting two more (ages 3 & 4) who had already been in our home for a while when they (the state) changed their mind. I was heartbroken, but just a short time later, my daughter got very ill & almost died. I see now that God knew she would need my full attention and care, and that the other two would need a Mommy who could do the same for them. God sees beyond what we can see!
Like you said, I'm glad He's in charge & not me...I mess up the easy stuff. I can't imagine what I'd do with the hard stuff He handles!!!
Anyway, enjoy your exchange student! God is placing her in your home for a specific reason I'm sure!
