Its almost 9 months since I fell and started having pain in my left arm . I have gone to 4 doctors now. First was my primary and then another doctor in that office look to see what the problem was. Then I went to a specialist who then sent me to therpy. Therpy wasn't working so I got sent to a spinal specialist. He gave me a shot in my arm. Then this Tuesday I had a followup and still the pain is here the shot didn't help. He wanted to look at my mri that started all the specialist because he feels that its in my arm not my neck that I was sent to him for. well they called over to the hospital. I then went to pick up the mri . Well they handed me the xrays. So we had to reschedule my appointment til the mri was found. Well I was told they are unable to find them when I returned with the xrays. So I had to leave my info to be called when it was located. I got in my car and started to just cry. about ten minutes down the road I started to pray and say thankyou Lord even thou I don't understand. Well at the end of my prayer my cell phone rang. It was the guy from the hospital he had found my Mri on my shoulder. So yesterday I went back to the hospital got the mri and took it too the doctors office. The doctor will look at them tomarrow and get back with me . I am hoping for a sooner appointment 9 months of pain is just too long. I am trying not to get down but I am tending to cry on an off now I was staying positive and focus but the tears just come on and off now. Thank you for you prayers .

By his strips we are healed. In the Name of Jesus, I ask you Lord to touch Doreen. You know where the pain is and what is causing it. Take that severe pain out of her body. Renew her Lord, Strenghten my sister in her time of need. Thank you Lord for hearing and answer prayer. Let your will be done in her life.

Doreen, God's on the scene. He sees your tears and he knows where the pain is. Trust in him all will be well.

Thanking the Lord. The other day a certified letter came from the hospital saying sorry with two tickets to the movies.
No expiration date
Then Saturday a call of donations for our vbs.
Today I pick up some of the donations. Maracas
Then at church tonight a whole box of sombraros.
also a call from the doctors with an earlier appointment. tomarrow at 12:30

Praying that God will heel your arm. He knows how well you use your arm with all of your decorations and how much it benefits the ministry. He will take care of it for you. Back from the doctors. Its now my neck once agian. On July 28th i go for a couple of shots into my spine, My husband is going with me . I am also suppose to follow up with the specialist 4 weeks afterwards. the shot might help and might not. If it does it could be up to a year. So praying this shows yes this is where the problem is so we can get some relief. I still work on my art work and decorations. This give me piece. Someone says I should stop but I have peace in my heart. I have a restful prayer time as I paint . Yes I find rest in creating . The best prayer time ever

Well I got thru vbs and now its almost time for my shots into my neck on the 28th . I got so upset the other day I called to check on my appointment and I was no where in the computer. The appointment that my doctor help set up was not even in the computer . I had given my info over the phone to them . I was glad they put me in for the same time and date. They were saying at first I had to wait til sept.

I don't want to be too nosey, but I am curious as to the type of pain you're experiencing. Does it hurt to simply touch your arm & shoulder? The reason I'm asking is because a similar thing happened to my daughter when she was 12 (she's almost 15 now). We were in a hit & run accident and she injured her arm. At the time, we thought it was a sprain. Then they casted it thinking she'd broken her growth plate. When the cast came off it was still swollen and hurt at a simple touch.

She was referred to a rhuematologist who diagnosed her with Reflex Sympathic Dystrophy (RSD)/ Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). This diagnosis has been confirmed by two other physicians and it has changed her young life (and ours as parents) tremondously!

RSD/CRPS is a disorder of the nervous system where the brain receives pain signals after the injury should have healed. In my daughters case, it has spread from her right wrist up to her shoulder, neck and back. Sometimes she has the same pain in her leg, but not to the degree as in her arm. Depending on the day, even a light breeze can cause her extreme pain. It has altered her activities as well as her schooling (she's now homeschooled because of it.) This is certainly not the type of teen years that most teens enjoy!

I have prayed, my church has prayed and Christians all over the world have prayed for healing for her, but for whatever reason, healing has not yet been granted. She is learning to live with and deal with the pain, however. I pray that this has not touched you, but I wanted to find out if anyone has tested you or even brought it up to you as a possibility. It is not a very well known condition, so your primary care physician may not have even heard of it. It took a rheumatologist, an anethesiologist and a neurologist to confirm the diagnosis (in that order).

Since I'm new, I'm not sure if I can post a website for you, but I'd be happy to send you one if it is allowed and you are interested. It is by far the one that has helped us understand our daughters diagnosis. Please keep me posted on your progress.

I can explain a little of what I have been going thru. I was taking off my skirt and stepped on the him of my skirt. Yes ladies one of those I can't believe I did that . Well I didn't go to the doctor the next day thinking the pain would go away some or I could mention it at my checkup that was in a couple of days . Well the pain got worse the day I went to the doctors. They sent me for xrays but nothing really showed up. They thought I had hurt the roder cuff I know I am spelling this wrong. Well they put me in a sling. My husband hurt himself a 2 weeks after me . he crushed his wrist. Right one and I was the left arm .What a wonderful pair we made. He has heal really well and Her is the rest of my story. We ended up getting a MRI done to check the sholder. My husband doctor said it sounds like that they don't know what is wrong. So i got refurred to him. He discovered that I got tennis elbow from keeping the arm not moving and the pain was even worse. The MRI show I have some athridus starting in my shoulder but that wasn't the cause. He sent me to therpy. WHere I was stretched at the neck and having a shot in the elbow. After the therpy didn't work they had sent me to the spinal specialis. The doctor that my husband had was confinced that the problem wasn't in my shoulder but in my neck. He had me get a mri of my neck . The spinal specialist went back to the thing of it being my shoulder . Now it is back to my neck and I am going to see a specialist dealing with pain. They are going to do a nerve block kinda of procedure this friday. So the Lord has had me deal with patience and grining thru the pain. I had my arm feeling numb and not being able to feel my fingers I started working on the ladies tea. Doing the small crafts i got feeling back in my fingers. I still can't wear my wedding rings which makes me sad. The kids I teach keep asking me when I will be able to wear them agian. I have them on a chain. I know I can make it thru this I just know I can't reach straight out or over my head or lift anything heavy with my left arm. SOme days are better than others.

Your next appointment you may want to ask them about the RSD/CRPS. My daughter has had two or three nerve block procedures as well and has gone through a whole lot of physical therapy.

I got a call this week and I can't take any tynold and motrin untill after my appointment on friday. So for the past few days I have had some real pain. Tonight I can't even take the pain medication I take at night. I do that because it makes it hard to funtion durring the day. I am sensitve to medication so I get rather light headed and I don't want to feel that way taking care of 4 boys. The pain this morning is up to my ear from the tip of my left fingers. the numbness is back too so that makes me feel really strange. I have been reall crabby lately and try to catch myself. Its hard because my boys are not always listening. Tears fall when I get really fustrated. I pray and try focusing . This helps. I want to paint but Just can't focus since my head hurts so much . My sinus are causing a sinus headache and No meds allowed is not helping . Sorry to vent but I really need prayer today. I will update when I can after my appointment tomarrow.

Have you had an EMG? Maybe you should request it to see if you have any nerve damage. Also, maybe the pain is being caused from something other than the fall and it is being overlooked because it seems to be conencted to the fall. I know when I had carpal tunnel, I let it go for so long, my arm hurt all the way to my shoulder. I couldn't sleep at night and there were times when the pain was so unberable, I had thoughts of cutting off my arm...not that I would do something like that, but it hurt so bad, that I would think that would be the only thing that would give me relief...and I have a very high tolerence for pain. Try purchasing a cock-up splint to wear and see if it gives you any relief. But, seriously, have an EMG to check for nerve damage. You are in my prayers. god_bless

I will take all the other things mention and talk to my regular doctor. This was the pain doctor and he was there to try this new thing of the shot into my neck. Well I am sore and a little dizzy since I took the pain meds when I came home . they gave me a something to make me calmer for the proceder since it was wher it was he wanted me calme. I am really sensitive and was getting a little upset. That was because I still hadn't been talk to by the doctor yet . we were told some stuff but not what the procedure was going to be about. They said the doctor would tell me. My thought with that was that would happen before I got dress etc. but not so I was dresssed for the procedure and then put in a room. Waiting I started to really get nervous and right after tears fell with my husband The docter walks in . I didn't sign anything till the docltor told me what it all intelled. I am praying that this will help some .
