The Lord blessed us this week with the birth of our son, Nathan. He was born Tuesday night after repeated issues with pre-eclampsia for me. They went ahead and delivered him by Ceaserean. He was six weeks early. He weighed 4lb 6oz. He is doing great. He came home from the hospital today! Praise the Lord. Traveling 45 minutes to the hospital each day while trying to recover from surgery is no fun. Tomorrow we can just all be home together and rest.
This is #4 for us. We have an 8 year old daughter, 7 year old son, and 5 year old son. Needless to say, big brothers and sister are very excited about their new baby brother. _________________ ~Jodi |

Congratulations, Jodi!! Welcome home, Nathan!! I'm so glad to hear that he arrived safely, if early. I've been thinking about and praying for both of you.
He must be such a tiny little bundle! I can't imagine holding a less-than-5 lb. baby. Sort of makes me want to do it all over again..........NOT!!!
I sure sympathize with having to drive 45 minutes to the hospital after Caesarean. I had Matthew by C-section, and I don't know how you managed. Praise the Lord he's home and you're both doing well. Now you take care of the two of you and recover. I never realized what a major thing a C-section is until I had one. Just hauling yourself out of bed is real hurdle, even rolling over in bed. At least you don't have to worry about overdoing the weight limit with the baby so tiny! Matthew was almost 9 lbs. at birth, so very quickly I was lifting more than 10 lbs!!
Well, I didn't mean to run on so much, but I'm VERY excited for you!!
Take care, and God bless.
Love,
Bethany |

Thank you Bethany. Yes, this whole experience is very different for me. My first three were born at home with no issues and I had never been in the hospital in my life!
Recovering from surgery is quite an experience and challenge. Having such a small baby is different too. My other boys each weighed 9 lbs. So Nathan is half of their size. Like you said, bright side is that picking him up is no big deal. _________________ ~Jodi |

Congratulations! I have been concerned so it was with much joy I read about the safe delivery and that you are both all right.
What a precious bundle he must be! I am so glad the long trips to the hospital are over for you.
Take care and God bless you both! _________________ I live at the magnificent Mimosa Hill Chicken Retirement Village |

Jodi,
Congratulations! What a blessing...my daughter was only 4 lbs. and came 5 weeks early, so I can relate. I hope you have found diapers that will fit. I will continue to keep you and Nathan in my prayers, and pray that you will be up and around shortly. Be blessed. _________________ If one falls down, his friend can help him up...Ecclesiastes 4:10 |

Praise the Lord! I've been praying for you, and will continue to pray as you try to juggle 4 children after having surgery! Welcome to the world, baby Nathan.
