I have to decorate for a dinner at our church for June 25th.The "Theme is Western."Do any of you ladies have some good ideas? Would appreciate any input. I have red cloth tablecloths that my sister has made me.Buffet style for food table, dessert table and coffee table, they all are skirted. On these tables I am putting western looking runners down these three tables.(I bought western material and made the runners) On the tables that people sit at I am making placemats out of the same western material to put on the red tablecoths I have for them. I went in on the computer on one of my programs and made up some western signs with western words added. I need center pieces for all the tables. Any ideas ladies? Thanks in advance for any help!

What a great idea! If you can find some inexpensive cactus plants, they might add a nice touch. You could give them away after the event.

I responded in your other post, but I'll put it here, too!
You can fill cowboy boots with flower arrangements, preferably a "Western" type flower, maybe black-eyes susans, sunflowers, etc. It really looks nice as a centerpiece. If you can get some people to let you borrow their cowboy boots, you're all set!

Mason jars filled with flowers (like the ones Bethany mentioned) work well. Tie a piece of raffia around the top to finish it off.

Tying a bandanda around the mason jar arrangements look really cute too.

We used the back pockets off of old jeans with a piece of red bandana material sticking out for our silverware. We had people at church donate their old jeans, cut them off and all we had to do was cut the bandana material to fit in the pocket and place our silverware in the pocket. It was really cute.

Yes, I think candles would be really cute, and you could still put bandanas or raffia around the mouth, as long as none is over the open part! Sounds like a fun theme!

Just wondered if you were using a "name" of any kind or are you just calling it "a western theme"? Sounds like a fun idea. Tiny haybales might be cute on the tables too. What kind of food do you plan to serve?

It is just called a "Western Theme".I have been looking for some small haybales but have not been able to find them.I wanted them to sit on the table tops with my mason jars with the flowers in them. If you know of any place let me know?

I have found the hay bales at Walmart but I have only used this theme in the fall. You can easily find them in the fall. Check the craft section of Walmart, maybe they will have them. Question
