The Gallery--Let Your Light Shine

We did the theme Let Your Light Shine, we had
the ladies wear lampshade hats and gave out a prize for the best one, we had 2 winners as you can see they have the Queen of Light Banner on and a Queen lampshade hat. We decorated the ceilings with decorated and some plain lampshades and light bulbs that we colored on, with some flowers (just something decorative) and "Let your Light Shine" using the same verse i think you use for that theme or Let the Son Shine In. We played two games the lampshade race, we split up into two teams and you had to walk/run all the way around the table without touching or letting the lampshade fall off your head, if it did you had to go back and try again. the first team to get everyone around won. The second game we had tea lights (candles) lit and you had to stand about 6-8 feet away with a watergun and try to shoot the candle out, then go light a new one for the next person on your team, and again first team to finish wins. We had such a good time. I spoke on three types of lights, the kind that comes on in your car flashing, warning you of trouble ahead (critcism, bad atitude etc) a lightbulb...what wattage are you 25, 50, 75 or 100 and how we should be glad Jesus gave us 100 watts of himself and didn't quit half way to the cross. and last the candle...are you putting out someone's light or are you lighting it. We should encourage each other, and keep one another burning bright ...like the city that is set on a hill, people should be able to see our light from a distance etc.

By the way the cubbyholes/desk you see up against the wall are there because at the last minute we had to use a school room because the ac went out in our other building. Good thing we had waterguns!!!!!!
