Yes, I know that it is very early to be planning, but this year's festival is going to be bigger than our previous 3.
Any ideas, ladies?
We want to promote it in our community.
We always have ours on Oct 31. We are in Florida and are planning to have it outside this year.
I am busy writing the local supermarkets for donations. Our church members always donate plenty of candy for the event.

Last year we had our Fall Festival on Oct. 31st as well. We called it "Hallelujah Harvest". We had hot dogs and hamburgers, chips, cookies and ice cream. We had someone come that did the balloon characters and face painting. We had games and lined them up outside against the fence on boards with decorative signs and balloons with the game title about each. We had milk bottles with rings, A clown face with holes in the eyes and mouth to throw bean bags, we had a basketball game for kids, a tire hanging to throw a frisbee thru the middle. We had a board with the tic-tac-toe painted on it and bean bags to throw. We had bags races, pumpkin roll race and a cake walk. Different people volunteered to make cakes and each lady would pay $1 every other time we played the music and it helped raise $ for our youth group. We had an auction for a wrapped gift (inexpensive gift). People bought raffle tickets to participate. We also had a hay ride and played Christian music outside. (you could also have live music outside) You could also rent a slide (depending on if $ was an issue. We had LOADs of candy. I bought those plastic black pots from Wal-Mart last fall and with everybody bringing candy each Sunday of October, we had plenty of candy at each game post. We had apple bobbing using yarn to tie the apples and tack up. We also had pin the eyes on the pumpkin and the water and ducky game for the smaller ones. We had hay bails and I bought fall flannel back table cloths from the $ Tree and put on them for people to sit on outside. We used wire wheels for tables and to put our food and drinks on. It was really nice. I hope this helps. Melissa
