|
|
After thinking about the Progressive Dinner asked about in the other thread, I remembered an event I attended that was so much fun!
It's a mystery dinner.
It is NOT a dinner where you solve a mystery.
The mystery IS the dinner!
The kitchen is off limits to all guests. They are seated at tables set with only plates and salt and pepper....no cups or utensils or napkins.
They are given a menu.
This menu only offers CLUES.
There are 4 courses and 12 clues on the menu. For each course, you choose 3 items.
The "menu" contains clues to the main course, side dishes, dessert, drink and after dinner coffee as well as napkin and utensils.
Confused??
Okay, first course, you check off "egg holder", "iceberg on a raft" and "peace offering". You get a spoon (you carry an egg on a spoon in that kids' racing game), ice cream on a brownie (iceberg on a raft) and some olives (extending the olive branch is a term for peace).
So, you are lucky. You have to eat dessert first and you got a spoon.
At the next course, you choose 3 new clues and get whatever odd combination you choose. Could end up with coffee, a napkin, and a glass of water.
The first course is always the most "dangerous". Could wind up the the main course, a salad, and a napkin but no utensils!!
And you have to eat what you have before getting your next course.
It can be hilarious watching someone munch on salad with their hands! _________________ Colossians 1:27 ...."Christ in you, the hope of glory." |

I love this idea. It sounds like sooooo much fun. Did you come up with this idea? Whoever did sounds very fun and very creative. Thanks for sharing. _________________ Jodi

Not my idea...but the person that shared it with me (not sure if it was her idea either) IS incredibly creative. _________________ Colossians 1:27 ...."Christ in you, the hope of glory." |
