HELP! This is my first time planning a retreat and I have no idea where to start. I don't even have a theme. Should I get a speaker, should we do it ourselves?

Do you have a form that I can follow to help me in planning this retreat?
Do you have any ideas for a theme?

As for a speaker....we usually hire a keynote speaker to tie everything together at the end and have our own ladies or local people lead various workshops (sometimes we have only 2...sometimes as many as 10 and the ladies choose which 3 or 4 they will attend).

You need a date...a place...a theme.
Then you can decide how long you will make your retreat (full day, all weekend?) and what format to use (large group sessions? small group workshops? etc.) and then seek speakers/group leaders.
Will you do a fun craft? Will you allow break time?
Will the place provide food? If not, you need a plan for that too.
Childcare? No childcare?
Decorations......mixers/icebreakers....
(seems overwhelming, eh?)

But first.....PRAY! And then form a committee!!! You shouldn't do this alone.
