Hi: this past summer my daughter was babysitting for the grand daughter of a well established church member. ON the start of the third week, the husband came home @ noon and for 45 minutes attempted to rape and sexually assualt my daughter. In the midst of it all he continued to run his boys out of the room. I am not going to go into what he did as it is too painful even to think. BUT no parent should hear their child say the words that my daughter said that day! My daughter started praying for GOD to help her and MY husband happened to MISS DIAL our cell and got HER. (we say that he miss dialed BUT GOD dialed!) This was a blessing in the midst of the storm because it STOPPED the guy from going farther as he had to account for his time with her for she told her dad she was headed home NOW! we filed a report and are awaiting to hear what takes place NOW! this caused great stressed for our family and for the church my husband was pastoring and we were asked to leave. We needed our church family in one of the hardest times in our life, and they failed us, and failed my daughter! My daughter blames herself, as all victims do, and struggles with her walk with the Lord even today. Some days are good and some days are BAD even still so far away! Although we thank GOD for hearing her prayers and stopping him from RAPIng her physically, he managed to rape her spiritually! Please Pray for her.. as well as my other two girls and my family in this. I know that "all" things work together for good to those of us that LOVE our lord. and GOD knows all things! for this is my hope and my strength as a Mother in this. But as I watch my daughter cry and get angery and fall apart, I struggle with anger and rage for what he has brought into our lives and what he has done to my daughter!

I can understand some of what you are going through. My father molested me for many years. I was very much afraid of him every time we were alone together. I never knew what to expect. I will pray that God can give you peace in your trials

I had to poke back in and see what everyone was up to. Thank you all for your prayers.. I can give a praise report and tell you that Your prayers are NOT in vain.. God has been healing my family from the things of the past. It has not been an easy road thus far, but it is getting 'easier'. He gave me many scriptures to help me as I helped my children thru this time in our lives.
Philippians 3:14 is an awesome one that I find helps me greatly.
Press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of GOD in Christ Jesus.
I know that this earth is NOT heaven and that I have that awaiting me ahead of this race. I am so glad that we can have a place to look forward to that gives such awesome Peace and Joy and LOVE. As I go before my lord and Savior and share GODS HOLY word with my kids as HE directs me, Even our pastor thru the leading of the lord in His life, shares it back to me to encourage me! MAny blessings have come. My daughter has found her smile again and returns to serveing HER Savior once again...minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day.... for it is this way that we can over come the enemy. Christ Jesus has the Power, Not the enemy!
May GOD richly bless each of you in your trials of THIS life as you reach forward to that special mantion He has prepared for YOU! Stand in Boldness sharing HIS word and HIS SON, for it 'is' thru the valleys that we can shine CHrist in our lives the BRightest to those lost around us, that they too might see and find their way!

Hello. My heart broke for you as I read your post. I am also a pastor's wife so I know the burden to be effective in ministry. If you are not gifted to counsel people then God didn't call you to do that. There are so many other things that a PW can do to help her husband. Your first responsiblility is to support him, to encourage him and to meet his needs. I do very little counseling yet our congregation says that I'm the best PW they have ever had. If God calls you to do something He will surely equip you to do it. Just find where your gifts lie. Are you good at teaching, singing, praying, organizing events, cooking? The list goes on and on and on. Sometimes we think we are ministering only if we are doing certain things. One lady mentioned in another thread that she is blessed with a lady in her church who does the shopping for church supplies. She takes her time and finds great bargains, saving the church money. I say that is a great ministry!!

Hi: thanks for your reply.. I too am a PW for the past 9 years. In those years, God has used me in his service to witness his Son to reach disturbed teens. I myself had a very hard youth and it seems that up to NOW that GOD uses that for my compassion and understanding and HIS love to reach others that are NOW going thru those things. I know GOD has a work for you to do.. Take the scripture "here am I, send ME" and ask the LORD to show you where it is he will use you in service for his Honor and GLory. This past March I was Diagnost with Multiple Sclerosis. I had a hard time finding my works for GOD. But with much searching and praying he has shown me to Be a support for my Husband thru prayer and to those about me... I guess I convinced myself I had to be going here and there and being physically busy to serve GOD when at this point of my life he wants me for his service in Prayer.... Moral of my long gabby letter back to you... HERE AM I LORD SEND ME. and then when your heart stands in that faith, HE WILL show you and HE WILL USE you! Praying for you to find peace in what ever it is that GOD shows you he wants you to do.. Ministering to Ladies May very well NOT be it...
