Gosh, I really don't know where to start but here it goes. I'm asking you all to pray for me because I'm struggling in my Christianity and I'm not sure why I feel like I does. I know some of you have read my post about me being confused and doubting. And I loved the response so thank you for that. But now my panic attacks are trying to start back and I don't know why. But I have this great fear of dying and going to Hell even thou I know I'm a Borne Again Believe. I regrate to say that I don't pray nor study God's word like I should (Which I've been working on and have improved on) but I have this great fear still. We've been studying Revelations and I think that learning and knowing what to come is scaring me to death. Just pray that God will give me peace in my mind and in my heart. And that I will walk in his way and not mine. But most of all and this has been my best prayer..... that if I'm not saved by grace that God will tell me and deal with me so that I will be saved. Like I said I remember asking him to save me but I also know that I've not lived in his will at all time. I've asked God for forgiveness and I know he has. But I still can't figure out if I'm actually having panic attacks or if God is trying to speak to me. Just pray for me!!
Thank you

Stephanie,
I will definately pray that God will help you through this time. One of the great things about reading/studying Revelations is learning that We (Christians) Win!! Yes there are many horrible things that happen in the book of Revelation but the Church (Christians) will be raptured out before all that happens.
Concerning your doubts about salvation - if you have asked Jesus to save you then He has. The Bible says in Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
So even if you have not lived perfectly in His will since you accepted Him you are still saved. I want to encourage you to bury yourself in His Word. Not because that will save you but because you will find the answers you need in His Word.
Please feel free to PM me or email me if I can help you further.

| Start in Romans and put your name in the verses that speak about salvation. When you are done with the whole book of Romans read it again. Let God's Word penetrate your heart. I know that if you are not in the Word regularly (on a daily basis) doubt creeps in. Start reading your Bible both in the morning and at night. Do not stop your reading each day until God gives a special verse for that day. I am not kidding if you really put meditation in your reading you will start thirsting after His Word. If you miss a day then you will feel empty. If you really want peace on this Romans is the best book to start with!!! Hope this helps. |

I can completely empathize with you. I'm very prone to doubts whenever I am not regularly, daily in God's Word. If you don't have God's Word, you don't have a weapon to fight the devil with. And one of Satan's most effective weapons against Christians is doubt.
Like others have said, if you remember a time when you trusted the Lord to save you, then lean on that. He said He would if you asked. You asked - He did. Trust Him for your salvation.
"...Resist the devil and he will flee from you." James 4:7 I truly believe that works. Remember that "...God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."2 Timothy 1:7 So the fear is not coming from God, but from the devil. The only way you're going to be able to resist the devil is to be in close communication with God through prayer and His word. DO NOT EVEN TRY to do this in your own strength. You'll fail miserably! I know; I've failed many a time. Please, please, please, get in God's Word on a daily basis. Don't let yourself go to sleep at night until you've read the Bible. If you turn out the light and remember you haven't read, turn the light back on. That's how I got myself to be in the habit of reading the Bible daily. Once it's a habit, you can pick a better time to read that will allow for study and meditation. I think that at this point, you just need to make Bible-reading a habit.
A few years ago when I was having panic attacks, I quoted Psalms to my self many times. Psalm 4:8 "I will both lay me down in peace and sleep, for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety." That was a favorite of mine. God's Word gives peace, so quote favorite verses about God's love and protection, about peace, and let it comfort you. Dwell on the truth, that God loves you and God cares, and don't let Satan feed you lies.
Please know that I and others here will be praying for you, and if you want to talk more, please feel free to pm or email me anytime.
In love,

Immerse yourself in the Bible. I would read read read as much as you can. LIsten to Bible on tape, while you are cleaining or doing laundry or whatever. Listen to hymns or scripture songs. This helps me alot. _________________ Anna
