Hi---I'm Beth from Cottage Grove, OR---a little town south of Eugene. My husband is pastor of an Independent Baptist church in Springfield, OR. I grew up in Eugene, went to college out of state, got married, have been a pastor's wife in other states, then came back to the Northwest in the late 80's and have been at this church since 1991.

I'm really happy to have found this site! Hope to get to know you all better.

I don't run across many with my name....so, yes it is nice to meet another Beth! Beth is my middle name.

Good to hear from you. I see you're from MI----do you live near one of the Great Lakes? I visited Michigan once----and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw one of the lakes (can't remember which one----I'm terrible at geography ----anyway, it looked like an ocean!! I love the ocean. We lived in north Texas for several years----I didn't like being land-locked. The ocean is in my blood, I guess. I'm so glad we live in western Oregon, not far from the coast....that's my favorite place!

Yes, I'm from Michigan! I live kind of in the middle of the state, so I'm not near one of the great lakes, but in Michigan, you're never far from A lake, and it's not too far to one of the Great Lakes. The Great Lakes are truly amazing: they're like small oceans, with their own weather systems, and terrible storms that can sink ships. I've never seen either ocean, so I guess my Great Lakes is as close as I'll get!
