Does anyone have any suggestions on dealing with premenopausal symptoms. I don't have medical insurance and it is a bit expensive to go to the Dr. I would like a more natural approach to dealing with it. Are there christian web sites that deal with this issue? I really don't want to take a lot of drugs either. I am going through some things now that are a sure sign. I wasn't quite ready for this. But I am old enough(4

Hi Kristen,

Don't know if I will be much help, but I've been through the change (started early) and I did it the "natural" way, I guess you might say. When I started having symptoms, it scared me to death! Went to the Dr.---wasn't much help. So, I did a bit of reading and got some good vitamins/minerals. I found that we really need to increase our calcium/magnesium level---should be a 2:1 ratio----around 1000 to 1500 mg calcium a day. With that, we need to take Vitamin C, D for absorbtion. I take Citrical Plus, because it is a very absorbable form of calcium.....calcium citrate. There are other kinds that aren't very absorbable. Basically, that's what I did, along with taking a good vitamin/mineral supplement (a good liquid is usually best) and also I took some progesterone cream from time to time (some ladies use it regularly). You can get this at a health store. Everyone is different, of course. But, this worked fine for me---I went through the change without much of a problem. I'm not one to go to the Dr...........I know some gals go every year. Personally, I only go when I absolutely have to. I know some would shriek in horror at that. icon_surprised.gif But, hey.....so far, so good.

I hope this helps somewhat. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to ask me......I'll try to be of help.

Kind regards,
Beth

Hi, I also use natural progesterone cream. It has helped a great deal with many of the symptoms of premenopause. I also take a good multi-vitamin and vitamin E. There are some good books on this subject. You might also do a search on progesterone cream to learn more about it and how to use it effectively.
