Our ladies are having a pool party and I always try to bring a light devotional. Does anyone have any suggestions? I was leaning toward using the verse "Oh taste and see that the Lord is good..." _________________ I Corinthians 10:31b (KJV) "whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God." |

When I saw "pool party", I immediately thought of "refresh", living waters, my soul thirsteth for thee(Psalm 42:1-2) Deuteronomy 8:7 - For the LORD they God bringeth thee into a land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills.
Of course, there is my personal favorite of the woman at the well in John, chapter 4. (After seeing my Savior, she is the next one I want to meet in Heaven).
I know these don't go along with your "taste and see" verse, but these just popped in my mind - I'm sure there are many more for "waters", if you choose to go that way.
Sounds like your fellowship evening will be fun.

I would just let everyone know that shorts and t-shirts are welcome in the pool. _________________ I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

| We just held a "Christmas in July" party for Ladies Night Out. It was marvelous. Christmas decorations everywhere, buffet was the traditional holiday turkey dinner, speaker spoke on turning Christmas Traditions into Christmas Treasures. It was a super evening, very different, and quite enjoyable by all. Although the temp. was 90 deg. outside, inside it was cozy and filled with holiday spirit. |
