Gals,
I need your help with some bridal shower games. I already have the usual games...word scrambles, bingos, charades, etc...does anyone have something really simple and unique yet FUN? The shower is in three weeks and close to 60 ladies are attending. I'm responsible for the games and wanted to do something different and unique. Thanks for your ideas.

Have you done the one where teams try to dress up someone as a bride using a roll of toilet paper? We did that at my wedding and it was fun!

I just hosted a bridal shower a few weeks ago. We did one game where we asked the groom-to-be questions ahead of time and the bride-to-be had to try to match the answers at the shower. We also asked the same questions of the father of the bride and the mother of the bride had to answer them. We made it like a little competirion. Everyone really enjoyed it. We also did a game where the "bride" put on an apron when she first got there. On the apron was pinned a bunch of little kitchen items. We had her leave the room after a while and asked several questions. Some had to do with the items on the apron and some didn't. I have several to share with you. Two years ago, I had the privilege of hosting four showers for my dear friends within a six month period. So, I have lots of ideas.

One game was the "white stuff" game. Pour different white stuff things (flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, powered sugar, etc.) into one zip lock bag for each item. Number the bags and let the guests try to figure out what is in the bags. The older ones think they can really outdo the younger, but amazingly, it happened to be other way around for our group. It was so funny.

Another thing I did was write a poem for the bride. It went as follows:
Dear bride, It is only fair that I let you in on a little SECRET. Groom may be FANTASTIC, but wait until you find out that he is not MR. CLEAN. He'll expect you to be DYNAMO in the kitchen and he thinks all women should MOP & GLOW. But each night, I hope you and groom will SNUGGLE up close and RESOLVE any differences as you PLEDGE your undying love for each other. So when you wake up at DAWN, your home will be filled with JOY and remain as happy as ever in the FUTURE. And may groom always be your HONEY.

I gathered all of the stuff and put it in a laudry basket. When I read the poem, I held up each item. I also gave the items in the basket as my gift to the bride. She enjoyed it sooooo much!!!!

Also, make little post card size paper on computer (one for each guest) and punch two holes on the left side. As guests arrive, pass one paper to each. At the beginning of the shower, announce they are to write down their "Words of Wisdom" to the bride. At the end of the shower, pick them all up, stack them together and bind the papers with ribbon and cover sheet that says "Words of Wisdom for bride". I try to do this at every shower I give. It is something they will treasure for a lifetime.

Here is a game that would be fun.

Who knows the Bride Best
....This is kind of a trivia game. The Bride to be fills out an info sheet on herself (favorite food, restaurant, pet, place she wants to live ..etc.) she should have about 20 things. For example: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? What is your favorite place to eat lunch? Give the same questions to each guest and have them fill out what THEY think her answers would be. Who ever has the most correct wins a prize.
