Whenever I have a new Secret Sis, I usually make a Blessing Jar for her. It's so simple to do: Use any kind of a pretty jar that has a lid. Write out (or compute) Bible verses of encouragement and praise (or ones she might especially like) and place them in the jar. Make an instruction tag that says this: Whenever you feel the need for a special blessing from the Lord, put out a verse and enjoy it. Then when your soul is refreshed, return that blessing to the jar for another time. If you use a jar that is not transparent, you can also add little surprises to the jar - miniature candy bars, small silk flowers, little trinkets.

I love the idea also...It reminded me when I was ten in sunday school my teacher gave each of us a baby jar filled with bible verses written on small strips of paper rolled up then tied with a piece of yarn around it. Every monday morning we were to open one of them up and read it out loud to ourselves and remember it for the rest of the week. By the time sunday school came the ones that memorized their verse said it and explained what it meant to them and as a little extra bonus our teacher gave us a prize.
