Fall is my favorite time of year! The trees are so beautiful. I have a few ideas for your October meeting - Fall in love with God (you could do a devotional on the many attributes of God). A Homecoming theme might be fun (it is always good to think on our homecoming in Heaven). A harvest theme would work also - Matthew 9:37-38 or John 4:34-35 come to mind (I'm sure there are more scripture on harvest). Hope this helps. Happy planning!
In HIS love and service,

| How about doing a Harvest Party? Using the fall colors and such. |

I hope may these ideas will help you.
Facing Life's Crisis With Christ Mark 4:8
Living Your Committment Col. 1:9-20
The Perfect Work of Christ Heb. 13:20-21
What A Fellowship Psalms 133:1
You could have women speak on different sub topics for What a Fellowship and if you email me I will be happy to share those with you. God Bless You and I hope this may open some ideas for you.

| Fall is my favorite time of year. Last year we scooped out pumpkins and arranged all kinds of wildflowers in them as centerpieces. You could serve pumpkin bread or pumpkin anything. Your theme could also be an outreach to women in the community. (the pumpking patch) Theme: Being a christian is just like being a pumpkin. God finds you in the pumpkin patch, you are dirty, he washes you off and cleans you up. He cuts you open and takes out all of the yucky stuff. He then carves a big smile on your face and puts His light in you for all the world to see. YOU COULD HAVE THE WOMEN CUT OUT A SMILEY FACE AND DECORATE THEIR PUMPKIN AS A CRAFT. The women become little girls once again. Hope you enjoy this idea. We had a great time! |

God gave me the theme "Act Your Age!" for our next women's event. I'm using the scripture from 2 Cor. 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. . ." We'll be playing games, you could do any activity that might seem like a child would enjoy, since we can be young with the newness God has blessed us with. I'm still working on it. _________________ Blessings to You,

LvlyRta,
Maybe you've already done your event. "Act your age" Some things that popped in my head was to point out scripture that talks about whetther we are 8 or 80, we are still God's children.
How we are welcome to "crawl into our Father's lap" and to come to Him anytime with prayer and need.
Pass out Bubble gum with a note to take with them as remember of the day "to revitalize your childhood"
Play Tic Tac Toe and talk about how God makes us a winner no matter what we try to do. (Remember, who ever starts TicTac Toe will mostly always win.)
Play Thumb wrestling and talk about how we wrestle with our own struggles on our own and we shouldn't forget to go to God, our Father, with help and guidance for our struggles.
Use Red Vine licorice to make something, getting the people to where they have to cut it and fit it into something. Where they have to cut pieces to fit a puzzle or pattern or something. Then talk about how even when we need desipline, our Father with prune us but it's all for the better.
Sing "Jesus loves the little Children" and other children songs.
Just had another thought, have the children of the church make something to give each of the guests like a simply drawn picture, with your theme scripture on it. Better yet, have them present it to the guests personally and have the children tell your adult guests "Jesus loves you and so do I."
What have you come up with? |

Hi
Like everyone else here I love fall too! Is this a one day event or more?
I have some fall ideas but most of them run along the line of those already posted.
One thing that I am doing with my Sunday School class (not the Ladies but with some adjustment I bet it would work)
Fall/Winter is a time that is hard for poorer families and the homless in our communities.
Last Sunday my kids and I discussed how we could follow Mark 25:40. We decided to help the local food pantry in someway.
IF you had a harvest theme for your event and then had a HARVEST or pounding (everyone brings a "pound" of something) you could accomplish two things have a wonderful Ladies event and help your community as well. _________________ ysiHn&l;

This is one that the Lord gave me, "Fruit Gala". I took the fruit of the spirit, wrote them out on pieces of paper, folded them and went to 9 of the ladies in the women's group and had them to draw. They were to study their fruit and then share with the rest of us at the meeting. No one knew what the other had, as instructed. Needless to say each lady testified to their fruit being squeezed and poked for the two weeks they had to prepare. We all learned from one another and really, that is what its all about, coming together. Oh yes, our food that day, you guessed it, lots of fruit.
Be blessed |
