Hi everyone!
I just realized that I've posted 4 times, but have never introduced myself, so here goes...
I'm an incredibly happily married wife with a one-of-a-kind husband and five wonderful children. We've been married 14 years this summer. After having 4 daughters, I was diagnosed with early stage 3 colon cancer. After six months of chemotherapy and a 5-year follow-up, we were given the go ahead for another (if we were inclined to do so at age 40+ ). The Lord blessed and we conceived, giving birth 9 mos later to a bouncing baby "BOY"!! All were shocked--no grandsons on my hubby's side--only 8 granddaughters!
We are pastoring a little church in Lee, ME. You may have heard of this church--making national news in the early 80's with the pastor who brought horrible reproach on this ministry. They are still suffering the effects of this ungodly man. The Lord has done and is continuing to do a healing work here and we praise Him for that! These special people have "stuck it out" and our desire is to let this community know that we as a church are here for them and that not all pastors are like this one!
I'm thoroughly enjoying this site--have received a ton of info. from it. We recently had our first Mother/Daughter banquet and much of what we did came from ideas on this site. On a good Sunday we have between 35-40. At this banquet we had 72 including 5 men in the kitchen!

WOW!!!!! what a lovely story. God is a Great God and He is still in Blessing Business. I love this story and will share it with my friends at church. What an inspiration to hear the miracle of a "son". Keep the Faith in regards to your church and the calling upon your lives. Change does happen when we allow change to come. Your Ministry will grow as you continue to obey the Father and listen to him. Thanks for sharing, Sweet Bounty
