can anyone give me some simple inexpensive ideas for decorating for a mystery auction/spaghetti dinner. We are having a spaghetti dinner with a mystery auction which is going to be a fundraiser for our youth. So decorations need to be nice but cheap. Something maybe the youth could do. To better explain the auction it is like dirty santa no one will know what there bidding on. We will read clue cards and they will bid according to them.

our youth did a spaghetti fund raiser few yrs ago....we used plastic red checked table cloths, bottles with candles stuck in them (cool if you can drip them down on bottles)...our teens served....or you could use glass mason jars and put raw spaghetti in them, tie them with ribbon or straw as table decorations...or make Italian flags (red, white and green) and put them in jars on table....

What is a mystery auction?

Our church held a dessert auction for our youth group and raised over $700. A mystery auction sounds intriguing.

Just a fun thought.
To raise a little extra money, don't have any silverware out
and have one of the "waiters" dressed up in the Italian chef garb "selling" silverware!! (Could be any donation)
