This is a wonderful site!! I am a young youth ministers wife with two small childern of my own, plus 15 teenagers that I love, but I can send them home .

I'll give a short version of my testimony: I grew up in a military family that never attended church. When we finally settled in MS my friend cared enough about me to carry me to church with her every Sunday and Wednesday. Gave my heart to the Lord when I was sixteen. Got married to a preachers son when I was nineteen. Looking back in my life I can see places where the Lord was preparing me for this "new military". My husband had surrendered to preach long before I met him, so I only just thought I knew what lay instore for me.

I'm 24 now and everything has seemed to happen so fast. Because I didn't grow up in church and my husband did I feel like I'm constantly trying to keep up. I was excited to find this site where I feel I can learn alot and be encouraged. Thank you so much!!

Love ya'll,
Lizbert

Welcome, Lizbert! I'm from the north, but we have quite a lot of southerners here, so you'll feel right at home!
Glad you found us!

HI, Lizbert,

We have a lot in common.. I married my husband when I was 19 and he too was called to preacher long before we got together. He also song in a Gospel group for years too. I'm 30 now and I can say that I thought I was prepared to be a Preachers wife since I was a preacher daughter but I've had my trails along the way that made me wonder if I can really fo this (being a pastors wife). I've never dreamed of the conflicts that some churches goes through. I was never prepared when my dh told me that God told him it was time to leave our first church that he pastored. I was so hurt because it was a very small church and this was my second family and I didn't want to leave. I cried for weeks before he stepped down and weeks after. I never thought I would be so emotional. But I knew that God has another church instore for us and things will work out according to his will and not mine. And he did we're at another great church and things are going wonderful. One good thing is that God didn't take us out of the County we live in so I still have a close relationship with my friends from our first church.

Hello Lizbert,
I myself was a military brat . And loved it. My Daddy retired from the Air Force in Keesler, who has now gone on to be with the Lord. And I believe that you were right on the money that God teaches us how to be in his military through our experiences. I have moved 4 times in the last 2 years due to the ministry military...I feel like if I can do it for the USA I can do more for the Lord. Praise God.
I now live in Alabama but who knows where the Lord will lead my family and I next. My husband preaches in a small baptist church growing in the Lord.
I want to personally welcome you to the family.
