Hi!

Our women's ministry is growing and we're trying to look more organized so we are putting together a brochure to hand out to new ladies in our church that may not know we have a women's ministry, bible studies, etc. so what we're doing now is trying to come up with a good name for our group. Do any of you have a name for your women's minstry or can any of you give me some ideas? The more the better as there's lots of women to please!

We named our group: WOW Women Of the Word. Our goal is to get women in the Word and to grow in their relationship with God. We have several new Christains in our church and we wanted to focus on them too. I have heard of another church that is also WOW, but they are Women Of Worship. Hope that helps.

I've known of two groups: one called GEMS (Gals Endeavoring for Missionary Service), and the other was WHO (Women Helping Others)

Ladies, these are wonderful names! Thank you for your thoughts. Our women's ministry is definately outreach oriented but also for the enrichment of the ladies within the church...hmmm...how can we combine the two?? We also all love the thought of being the "jewels" that we are, the "sisterhood" we share, the fact that we are "daughters of the king" and that we have deep love for each other and the women we serve. Maybe a little insight into our specific mindset will help you to brainstorm with me a little more. Please don't get frustrated or think I don't like your ideas...I'm hoping to take the list of names we all come up with to our next board meeting for a vote, so the more options I have to present to the girls, the better.
