Hi, I'm new here but I really wanted to share an idea from my last ladies meeting using the "Starch" devotion notes. First, I set out a collection of cleaning supplies: bleach, pine-sol, dusting spray, window cleaner, toilet bowl cleaner, etc. Then I had the women pair off and compare how they use the product with how it would apply to our spiritual lives. I wish I had taped the meeting. They came up with some really interesting comparisons. Some of them really tugged at our hearts. Then we talked about how cleaning can start as a very messy project. All of our clutter is laid out and we have to decide what to do with it. Sometimes God cleans us out the same way and it too can be a very messy process. He lays out all our "clutter" and we have to look at it and deal with it. We can allow Him to help us with the process or we can shove it all back and deal with it later. It was a very fun and insightful evening.
