We have a very active Ladies Circle at our Church and I give God the praise for that! We meet once a month (at the same time when the men are having their Brotherhood meeting - they meet in another room, but are always available to us if the need arises) We open with prayer requests and prayer. Then someone reads scripture, then they may talk on their scripture, or we may discuss it - we really let the Lord lead us. All ladies of the Church are invited to attend (but, of course, you will always have some that cannot). We plan various activities through Ladies Circle:Mother/Daughter Banquet, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Easter egg hunt, Sweetheart Dinner, Fall festival, Thanksgiving events, Christmas events. Plus we always organize the food for Family Day, Homecoming, Funerals, etc.
We have offices - President, VP. Secretary, Treasurer, Public Relations, decorating, prayer chain, photographer, flowers (for those in the hospital)
cards, Church bulletin, newsletter to shut-ins. Plus we may have others who like to participate in events by donating their crafts or special abilities.
We have two ministries - Saturday SPICE (Support- Prayer- Influence-Comfort- Encourage) and Basket of Love. Saturday SPICE ladies go in groups of twos or threes and visit with the elderly and shut-ins once a month on a Saturday. Our basket of love is a huge basket filled with snacks, games, puzzles, Christian books etc placed at our local Hospice facility (where our Church has a ministry) we keep this basket filled at all times for the families that have loved ones at Hospice.
Our Ladies Circle also has Secret Pal for those that want to participate.
We also have a food pantry and we organize any special outreach that may arise. We recently gathered items for a family that had lost everything in a fire.
We may have fundraisers to do something for the Church.
The possibilities are endless. I thank God that our ladies love to work and are always looking to do something to show God's love to the world.

I loved your answer about the Ladies Circle. I attend a very small church that has around nine ladies who are very interested in reaching out to our small community and surrounding area. I know exactly what God has laid on my heart, but I am struggling at how to get it from my heart into action!! This post sounds like a lot of what He has laid on my heart. I have a.....I don't have words to descibe it....I guess a huge 'awareness' that there is many, many hurting women out there. I feel drawn to 'be there' for these ladies and continually ask Gods direction and guidance on exactly who, what and how to do this. I would appreciate ANY input, opinons or comments that any of you might have. Most of all, I covet your prayers.
