This isn't at all spiritually based, but something I'm nervous and excited about. I just started doing home parties selling fashion jewelry as a means of helping out our family in a lean time. Tonight is my first show and I'm rather nervous! Please pray that it will go well, and that I will get the bookings I need to grow the business. So far, I only have 1 other booking, and that's 3 hours away! (my sweet sister-in-law was kind enough to volunteer to do one for me, just to help me out)T
This seems like the perfect job for me - not too many hours a week, I set my own hours, etc. With fibromyalgia, it's hard to find something that won't exhaust me or cause a flareup, so I'm really praying that this one will work out.

Just an update:
It went really well tonight. The poor lady only had 2 guests show up, and one had been to my last show! So it was very informal and we had fun. I was able to get 1 booking, so that will help me out - Praise the Lord! I learned some things tonight that will help me do better with the next show, so it was a good experience.

Yes, you do have a great attitude. Out of college, I wanted to learn how to cook so I decided to try to sell Pampered Chef...I do not recommend learning to cook in front of people My mom hosted my first party and I was so nervous I forgot the name of all the products and what they did. I left the sugar out of the dessert. My mom taught cooking in my Christian school for over 10 years.. she finally came up there and made the dessert for me. Needless to say most of the people didnt buy andthing after they saw how difficult if was for me to use them I told them if they would like to buy anything I would be sitting at the diningroom table.... Nobody sat down, My best friends mom felt so bad for me she ended up buying over $200.00 worth of kitchen things. Mom and I still laugh about me trying to show people how to cook

Oh, my goodness, that's so funny!
I have to admit, I've had some flubs, like forgetting to tell people very important things, like the Lifetime Guarantee. That's almost the most important thing about the jewelry, and the biggest selling point - and I forget to mention it! Well, thankfully, someone asked about a guarantee and I got it in there!
My problem is that I am so tired by 8 p.m. that I get really forgetful. So I have to verbally run through the entire show at home, then use cue cards to help me stay on track! Oh, well, I've only done 5 shows so far; I'm sure I will get better at it!

Hi, Kelly!
I'm doing pretty well with the business, thanks for asking! I've hit a couple of speed bumps in the past 2 weeks, with 2 very low shows, a cancellation, and a ?. But the nice thing is, even if it's a low show, it's still another pay check! And even the cancelled party is turning into a book party.
I'll pm you with the name of the company I'm working with. I've been very happy with the way they treat both customer and advisor.
