I attend a bible college and I am a part of the WMU on campas. We are planning to have a senoir tea for the women whose husbands (or them) are graduating. We need a theme,titles for the banquet, bible verses to use what ever help you could give. These women have traveled hours and even states away to attend this school and have been here to support their husbands for four years so they can become preachers, missionaries ect. If you can help please write me soon as we will began planning in a week. the tea will be the seco0nd monday in May! help!

HI!! I just happen to spend 3 months putting together an appreciation tea in honor of one of our own sisters. I sorta went into this blindfolded, as it was sorta handed to me unexpectadley. It turned out to be a blessing for me, though. We went with the basic Tea PArty theme. We collected Tea cups (most coming from goodwill) making sure each person had one to use. We also used Tea Kettles as Center pieces decorated with greenery. Also, we used modest HIgh heel shoes, hats and pearls and decorated the dessert table with this. (I placed them on a cake stand) also, nice ladies gloves, the white or lace ones work great. Proverbs is a wonderful place to find bible versus. Also, Emilie Barnes has some books out like Tea w/ friends and things like that you can use as maybe a devotional-could also help in finding a title for a theme. (i checked her books out from the library and used them as decorations, too) Sandy Lynam Clough and Maggie Stucky are others to check. For party favors, go to www.scripturetea.com this was a very inexpensive gift to give out. They are actual tea bags with bible verses written on the tea tag. They are precious, and so original. I also went on ebay and found these mini magnet calendars with the tea-cup theme that also had bible scriptures written on them. With that I made chocolate serving spoons (i think the recipe is on this site??) wrapped them with celophane, then tied them with pink curling ribbon. Very inexpensive but so nice. I placed mine in brown paper lunch sacks cut down with *decorative scissors* then using a hole punch made holes, then placed tuell through the hole to replicate a *mini-purse* placed them on the tables and that too helped with decorations. We had brunch type foods, consisting of finger sandwiches, fruit salads, cookies, cakes, things like that. We also had hot tea's available and punch. Our speaker chose the topic *spiritual beauty* In your case, you might have a door prize drawing(s) and that can consist of anything from a tea-cup to a tea pot. I know Hobby Lobby and Garden Ridge (do you have those) have great one to chose from. Also those Tea for One sets are cute. It has the tea cup and tea pot all together as one item. Also, if you have a Big Lots or Dollar General,they have tea pot stuff. I wish you much luck in this process. Have fun with it and just go as carzy with it as you want.
