I have a question I am doing a fundraiser this weekend and what we are doing is raffling off a trip for 2 nights and 3 days to Montery Bay. They will win a 2 bedroom suite with awesome amenities. This has been donated so it will not cost our women's ministry anything. We are trying to raise aleast 2500.00.

What do ya'll think is a fair price to pay per ticket? I was thinking 5.00 or 5 for 25.00 but someone said we should charge more because the package that they will win is worth over 500.00 to 1000.00 It is at a 4 star resort.

If you keep the price at the lower $5 per ticket, people might me inclined to buy more tickets than if the price were higher??? Just a thought.

That's a tough one. I think you probably have to weigh all your criteria. In otherwards, who are you selling the tickets to? Is it a wealthy church, area, community to which you will be selling? Consider what their response will be. Where are you selling the tickets? Just to your congregation? Offering them to anyone in the community? Are you having a booth set up somewhere? You may need to estimate how many tickets you forsee actually selling realistically? I think it all weighs in.

I'm thinking a higher price too because the prize is worth more than a typical raffle perhaps.

Make sure you have your ladies say that the price is a 'whatever amount' donation. People tend to respond to donations with a lot more giving attitude than when somebody just 'sells' something. Let the people buying know the cause they are contributing to, so they know how much their donation counts.
