Our ladies have had problems with Secret Pals so we started having Heart to Heart Sisters. To choose who your sister was to be, I handed out scripture verses (2 of each kind). The lady who picked the same scripture verse as yours is your Heart Sister you have the next three months. During this time you are to make some kind of contact at least once a week with your sister by phone, card, or visit....anything to help you get to know one another. Then once a month you are to make a date with them for lunch, shopping, a walk, a coke or ice cream. ... At the end of the three months we draw again and get to know another sister. You can give little gifts if you desire but it isn't necessary. We have such a variety of ladies in our group and we try to keep things within their comfort area. By getting to know one another we have become like family. So many times in church we just greet each other and tend to visit with the people we already know. The new people have a hard fitting into an established group. So with our Heart to Heart Sisters it provides that opportunity to learn to love one another.

Sounds good. This type of thing would be useful for our ministry.
Being military, we have a constant turnover of ladies and it can be hard to get to know one another.
