Hello Everyone, My name is Barbara. I am new here and wanted you all to know that I think this place is just wonderful.
We are in the process of planning our first meeting for the month of February. We are newly formed. We have not been functioning in the Women's Ministry for a long time now. We are a small church but we have wonderful women with great potential. We have drifted apart and we simply need to be knitted back together by our Lord. I thought with this theme we could do some things to make our ladies feel really special. Got any ideas about decorating? Something special. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much! In Him, Barbara |

Welcome, BarbaraKay! It's great that you found us here!
Your theme sounds wonderful; so many different things you can do with it. My only thoughts for decorating would be to maybe use crocheted or knitted afghans as tablecloths - or quilts, depending on whether you're going with the "knitting" aspect, or "threads". Or you could put baskets on the table with yarn and knitting needles, possibly with partially done projects like sweaters, mittens, gloves, dishcloths, etc.. You could have someone who tats or does that tiny crocheting (whatever it's called! )makes some heart shaped doilies to place on the tables, even use them as prizes. I know it takes a while, so there might not be time, but usually dollar stores carry little doilies, often in heart shapes.
I hope that helps. Sounds like a lot of fun! Let us know what you do to carry out your theme. _________________ God bless,

What are you decorating?? The church or are you having a dinner??
I like the theme, you could use different colors of hearts and have sewing kits around.
What is your budget??
You could make hearts, go to Walmart and you can buy solid colors of material and trace out a heart pattern and cut them out you can sew them or you could glue them together and hand them up. Sting them together.
If you are having a dinner you could use red or pink table cloths check out Party City they are .59 right now , again use the sewing kits on the table. I think they are about 1.00 at Wal-mart. Something else that you could do is follow the same pattern above with the heart cut outs and get some muslin and filled the hearts with spices and glue or sew them and you can use them as a cup holder and when you sit the warm coffee on them they will smell like spices. You really wouldn't need to much material. You can buy the 1.97 a yard. I would also use some candles to.
In the past I have made all sizes of hearts and colors out of card stock and in the middle I would write things like ( Jesus Loves You, Pray, Jesus is the answer, all kinds of things.like that. |

Hi I love this web sit too.
I would go to Hobby lobby and get lace table covering on a roll.
centerpieces get glass vases at walmart they are small and round with a glass ruffle around the top for 79 cents. Put some pink ribbon around the top of them and put water in them and a pink floating candle.
Go with the chicken salad put butter your sandwiches before filling with chicken salad if making ahead of time.
Serve a nice salad give them a choice of Toss salad. broccoli slaw, or red leaf mandarin orange salad.
for desserts serve a jello salad that you use pretzels on the botton and strawberries and jello on top of that. and I have a recipe for red hot blush
with jello and cin. red hots diced apples and pineapples.
If you need the recipes e-mail me at missy_gal30@yahoo.com
I hope I helped!!!
God Bless

For Cathy
Recognized your email as one from the Graphics Board. So glad you found your way over here. Sorry for the inconvenience. The Graphic's Board used to be our old women's board and although it's been over a year since it was changed, I still have the old link on some of my pages. Anyways, glad you are here.
BTW, that pretzil/jello salad is one of my very favorites!! _________________ Joy and blessings,
