Hi, My name is Sherry. I am a Pastor's wife. We are trying to choose a name for our Ladies Auxilary at church. Something that will denote the love and friendship found inside...along with the teachings, and fun. We are of the opinion that Ladies Auxilary congers up ideas of "old maids hen sessions". Would appreciate any and all suggestions.

My mother-in-law's church's ladies group has always been a favorite of mine - W.H.O. It stands for Women Helping Others.
You could have a sort of contest among the ladies to see who can come up with the best name, have them submit their suggestions and take a vote.

I want to bring this back to the top because I need some ideas aswell. Our women's minisrty is changing our name to better suit our purpose, the old name "homemakers" (kinda narrow and old feeling), Our purposes is to felowship together, build friendships, have fun and grow deep in our faith.
Please help me brain storm!!! and please tell me what is your women's ministry called?

Although not full of meaning we call our women's meetings "That Women's Thing" then add on the topic we'll be discussing or making our theme about (for example "Reflections", "Night of Indulgence"). My sister's group is simply "Heart to Heart".
