Can anyone help me get my pic posted where the avatar goes? I had a "doll" I made on a doll making site, but decided I'd rather have my personal pic on instead (since my doll looks like I only weigh about 100 lbs!! LOL)
Thanks for any help you can give. The doll posted fine, but when I tried to do the pic, it just puts a red X.

Startrek,

I checked and it looks like you tried uploading the avatar. That option isn't enabled on this board. You have to link to it remotely. In other words you need to have a web site or an online storage place that you can link to it from. Then you put that url directly to it in your profile where it asks.

Well, I do all this work learning how to crop & save a picture and store it in a site that hosts pics and then I figure out how to link to it and use it in here and HELLO!!!!!!! It is HUMONGOUS!!!!! LOL
It's like HELLO! HERE I AM!!!!! ROFLOL

Help Julia!!! Any ideas how I can make it smaller? LOL

Hi Startrek,

When I saw your post the other day, she wasn't showing up. Now she is but she is bigger than the 80 x 80 pixels that is set for the board size for avatars so I don't know if she is displaying correctly or not.

Is she the size you like her now? Or if not, all I can think of is to crop the top half of her and take her top half and place it inside of a square with a background (like my avatar). I'd be glad to do it for you. Just let me know.

- it is actually my own personal pic not one of the "dolls" that are commonly known as avatars. Is there any hope for using it or won't it work?
