I have a prayer request. My husband is in the military and It is time for us to be transferred again. My husband has asked for an extention here for 2 more years. He has 20 years in and can retire but he is only 39 and I think he fears retirement so at this time he wants to stay in for a few more years. However, I really feel this is where we are suspose to be. I have the WM leader at our church for almost 2 years. I am planted and I know God is moving in me and my ministry things are beginning to happen and I don't want to uproot and leave again. I know God is bigger than the mountains in our life. I just want to stay here and continue to do what I know God is calling me to do. Please pray for me that God will make a way to keep us here. Also, for my husband God has a calling on his life, but I think he is afraid of getting his roots in because he is afraid of leaving!!! His family is from here so this is home to him at the same time it's not. I used to love military life til & years ao when I came back to the Lord. Now I want to get settled down.
We should know within the next few months if we will get to stay...
Please keep me in your prayers.

I can relate. In the ministry we go through the same thing. When God tells us to go, we must listen. Only in your case it's "Uncle Sam" and not God!
I know it's hard to leave. You are doing the right thing by praying about it. I do caution you though to not have your mind made up already:
Quote:
I just want to stay here and continue to do what I know God is calling me to do.
I have been there, staying because WE wanted to and we were sure that's what God wanted. We were wrong!
God knows best, trust Him. I have moved when I didn't want to only to find that God had much better things for me where He moved us.
Continue in prayer and I will remember you in prayer also.

I remember the moves even though my husband served almost 7 years and was planning to make a career at it. Around the time my husband got saved (a year after I did), he also got accepted to Warrant Officer School to become a pilot...his life long dream. Well, the Lord had other plans for him. It was hard...thinking of the nice pay of being an officer, the comfort of knowing the military would take care of us (but GOD IS SO MUCH BIGGER THAN THE MILITARY---AS WE HAVE LEARNED)....but my husband answered the call to attend Bible College. God has blessed us in SO many ways...I definately do not miss the military (especially now with all that is going on....I do miss the four day weekends every once in a while....HA)...but God has blessed us and been SO good to us. I am thankful my husband got out and is doing the Lord's work instead of what my husband wanted to do all his life...be a pilot. We are not on our way to be missionaries to Romania. Please pray for us as we endeavor to do the Lord's will.

Trust in the Lord....and pray.
