I have recently felt a call to start a ladie's group at my church. I am in a church of approx 300. Over the years there have been leaders who tried to start a group, but it never seemed organized or planned well. God is working in me to hold a retreat in March/April 2004 for our ladies with the theme "Woman Bridging the Gap". We have woman of all ages that do not seem interact well with each other. I need help!! Not only have I never did this before, but I have never went to a retreat before. I have found a lot of good stuff on this website. If anyone can help me think of decorating ideas/workshops/door prize ideas for this theme I would appreciate it. Also, I can use some down to earth "How To" steps in planning all of this. Thanks and God Bless! Tammie

A song that comes to mind is by the Judd's
"Love Can Build A Bridge".

Just for fun:
Give each lady 2 popsicle/craft sticks and ask them to "build a bridge"
most will laugh or try all kinds of silly things, and the simple response is
(after they have struggled for a little while) of course to make it into a cross....this is a good lead in to the devotion.
