I have an idea to take a year or so (depending on number of ladies available to speak) to concentrate on allowing the older ladies of our church to 'teach' the younger ladies what they've learned through life (Biblical emphasis). Does anyone have a theme or any suggestions I could maybe use? I know we can learn so much from ladies who've experienced more than we as younger ladies have in our life. I'd appreciate any ideas to go along with this 'idea'. Thanks for your time.

Titus 2:4 "That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, (and also verse 5), to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed."

Not completely certain I see your vision on this idea....
But in our ministry, this would be incorporated into a monthly program during our year (which runs Sept. thru May....following the school year).

I'd find a Titus 2 woman (spiritually mature) to speak on one of each topic: loving your husband, parenting, self-control, keeping the home, submission to husband and finally leaning to BE a Titus 2 woman (mentoring).
Concentrate on one topic per program.
We have 3 ladies that come to mind in our ministry and I see no reason why one or two of them can't speak more than once.

I would decorate each program in similar fashion---"back to school" (biblical books and Bibles, pencils, rulers, apples-for-the-teacher, slates and chalk.....school supplies----type depending on whether you go "old time schoolhouse" or modern or mix the two).
I would offer school-supply related favors (bookmarks, pencils/pens, tablets, planning calendars).
Food and fellowship are always a part of our programs and whether we provided foods/snack or did potluck, I would have volunteers SERVE the food cafeteria style...just for fun (hairnets and all!!).

What a great idea! I don't know if this is what you have in mind, but may I suggest a craft theme for one of your sessions? Choose a skill like crochet or lace-making or some other needlework that was once popular but is now often overlooked. I think that many of our traditional home-making skills are lost because we fail to pass them on from generation to generation, in the way it used to be done. (Also, maybe another idea could be for a cookery demonstration for, say, preserving or making home-made chutneys etc). Of course it all depends on what talents your senior ladies are able to share. I wish you all the best with this wonderful project.
Blessings.
