We are having a choir program on Dec. 14th to accomodate those that would have been gone on the 21st (which was our original plan).
To get to my ? I don't want to not have anything special on the 21st being the Sun. before Christmas, and I thought of maybe having the kids do something but I know time is of the essence here. With only a few short weeks and only a few short kids (haha) are there any suggestions?

Something we did one year when we were short on a director and time, we found a really nice storybook of the Christmas story and had a grandma read it to the kids. We had her in a rocking chair on one side of the platform, and some kids at her feet. We interspersed her reading of the Christmas story with appropriate Christmas songs, songs the kids already knew pretty well, like "Joy to the World", "Away in a Manger", "Go Tell it on the Mountain", etc. It really turned out to be one of the nicer, simple Christmas programs. _________________ God bless,

| Oh, that sounds good! I can envision it already! Sounds simple enough to throw together soon too because like you said, we could use songs they already know. Now I'm excited. I have been racking my brain and when I asked a couple of the ladies last night at church what we could do they looked at me like I was nuts for wanting to do anything this late. I think they would agree that this one would be simple, fun, and very touching also. Thanks Bethany! |
