I loved the 'My View" from Julia. We have changed our program this year to strictly encouraging. We have asked the ladies to encourage their secret prayer sister once a month. I know the months can fly by and realize how easy it could be to forget your prayer sister, so we recommended that when they pay a particular bill (i.e., telephone, electricty, etc.) that is when they write out their encouragement card. I also encouraged the ladies to buy stationary, note cards, stamps for an entire year. Now, no excuse for no cards, stamps; or remembering when to do it.

We are going to use the following as a favor beside each plate this year. Got it from my mother-in-law. This was typed on a piece of paper with a heart-shaped foil covered candy glued to the corner.

"You, my sister, are a gift from God. Your presence here is not coincidence. You were put on this earth, at this time, for God's divine purpose. You are SPECIAL! You are IMPORTANT...to God and to me!"

We don't have a lot of ladies participating this year, but the ones that are, are excited for this way they can minister to one another.

The following can be made into a little booklet and used as a table favor for the secret sister reveal. Or as a gift for you secret sister. Especially if one person makes them up . . . then they don't know who's their secret sister.

all the many faults I have been
hiding in the secret corners
of my heart.

Shopping Day


O God, give me the grace to shop
wisely so I may purchase eternal
happiness for myself and
all others in need of your love.


Saturday
Cooking Day

Help me my savior to brew
a big kettle of brotherly love and serve it with the clean sweet
bread of human kindness.


Sunday
The Lord’s Day

O God, I have prepared my house
for you. Please come into
my heart as my honored guest
so I may spend the day
in your presence.
