I need some suggestions for a agenda for our ladie's Christmas party. We will have finger foods, a guest speaker, carols, probably a special song by an indivual(s), the left/right game, and Dirty Santa. All will be done in the church fellowship hall. Could some of you give me some suggestions as to what order things should be done? What has worked or not worked for you in the past? Thank you.

Dirty Santa is also sometimes called Chinese Christmas. Each person brings a gift for a set amount, we usually say $10.00. However many people you have participating is the number of slips of paper numbered that you put into a bowl, etc to draw. Each person draws out a number. The person who drew out no 1 goes first and selects a gift. She then opens the gift and everyone sees it. Whoever drew no 2 goes next. She may either take no 1's gift or select a gift from the pile. If she chooses to take no. 1's gift, no 1 then selects a new gift from the pile. No. 3 then chooses either no. 1 or no 2's gift or one from the pile and so on. We usually set a limit that a gift can only be taken 3 times, but you don't have to do that. It is usually quite fun.
The way we do the left/right game is hand out a small inexpensive gift (Dollar Tree is great) relating to Christmas or a candy cane to each person. Each person gets something whether a candy cane or a small gift. There are several stories to choose from, but they each contain a story about Mr. Wright and Mrs. Wright. The specifics on both of these are in Julia's Christmas Ice Breakers & Games / Wright/Left Gift Exchange Games.
