WOW! Lots of ways to help. We have done some of these in our church and we did the water give away in a parade with lables about Jesus being the living water. I like the idea of the grocery carts, we pulled wagons and it got hard I think stores would let us borrow their grocery carts what a neat idea. I just went to a conference on servanthood evangelism, not the same group, but same idea - there were some different ideas on this page that were not brought out there - no matter what way we go, there are many people out there that need to hear the gospel and many ways to reach them. If you can get a list of new people in your community the lightbulb and bread giveaway are really nice for new residents. We would often take a bag of candy along too for the kids (they weren't too interested in the light bulbs)
Teachers really appreciate the donuts in the teachers lounge, we did this every year to let them know we were praying for them.
In a couple of weeks we will be doing the reverse trick or treating (handing out bags of candy with church information and gospel tracts), we do this every year with our youth group, the people love it and the youth get used to sharing the Word.
Want a good time? Take a youth group to the laundry mat with a supply of quarters and laundry soap. When people come in with their laundry, put in the $ and ask if they want warm cold or hot water. They will assume you are an attendant there, when you tell them who you are and why you are doing this, conversations begin and you have the whole "cycle" to talk about Jesus...they will listen, you just paid for their laundry!
Lots of opportunities out there, we just need to be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

This is a great site! Our church is very much oriented on outreach. Too many people sit in the pews all their lives and never reach the mission field in their own neighborhood. The way to win people to our precious savior is thru loving them....after all HE IS LOVE! I love your ideas and plan to share them with our pastor. Thanks for the info.
