Our Women's Ministries Christmas party this year will revolve around the snowflake. Each lady will receive a glass snowflake ornament. I want to talk about the importance of each lady seeing herself as unique and special because of who we are in Christ. Does anybody have any devotional ideas or an idea for the gift exchange.
Each lady is asked to bring a $10.00 gift for the gift exchange.

Devotional Title Idea: Picture Perfect--Be content with you....perfect creation of God.

I know you are using snowflakes probably as decor as well, but you could use mirrors. Maybe have a prop or table set up with photo albums, picture frames, cameras, film...maybe give these as doorprizes if you do doorprizes.

Phil. 1:6 I Peter 3:3-6

Not sure if this will help...but sometimes something small will lead me to bigger ideas.

I did one once about snow flakes and how we are different and unique
but as we join together and work together as the body of Christ we can do so much more (snow balls, snow forts, snowmen(women)) One snowflake by itself will last only a short time but joined together with others as in a snowball will last longer and accomplish more. Working together and encouragement.

When I did this, I also put out some "Snowman Soup" for each lady to take home.
I put a bag of hot cocoa and some mini marshmallows and a candy cane (I got the french vanilla kind) in a baggie and put in all into a paper cup with a snowman on it (from Dollar General)
Added this little note:

"Was told you've been real good this year
Always glad to hear it!
With freezing weather drawing near,
You'll need to warm the spirit.
So here's a little Snowman Soup
Complete with stirring stick.
Add hot water, sip it slow,
It's sure to do the trick!"

and walaah! Snowman Soup!

They took these home to enjoy later, we didn't drink it at the banquet.

There's an "Enduring the Winter" Theme on the website. You may not want to take the gist of it (which is 'enduring trials') but you might find some decorating ideas and things you could use.

There's also some links to Snowman Soup poems on that page under the 'favors' part of it.

The link is below:
