Hi ladies
I am asking for prayer for my family. My dh had back surgery 4 months ago (had 3 disks removed from his lower spine) and has been out of work since then. He will more than likely be out of work until after the first of the year. I'm a sahm and have loved being home with my ds (just turned 4 this month). Our financial resources have run out, we've had to sell our home and have rented a house half the size of our previous home. I am now faced with the reality of having to go to work, which really breaks my heart, because I have wanted to be home with my little one.
My dh has lost not only his income but also all his benefits, including his health insurance. He did not tell me he was out of his medications until just a few days ago and then informed me he had been out of his antidepressants for almost a month. (Which I should have been able to figure out on my own due to his behavior). I insisted he make a doctor's appointment and when he did the receptionist informed him the dr's visit would be $125.00.
Today I received a call from the mortgage company saying they have not received a payment on the house (which we have sold). Seems they have not received a pay-off on the house and now they are forclosing on the property. I faxed all the documentations to them, but they are saying we are still responsible for the loan.
My 23-year-old stepdaughter took her baby and left her husband, got a divorce and is living with a guy who wants no part of church or God. Now my dd and grandson are no longer in church. Of course this is breaking dh heart, because his dd doesn't come around much and we miss our grandson.
I know God is in total control of all things, but I see satan attacking us at every turn. Seems like the evil one is working overtime. I am frustrated and physically & emotionally tired.
I am sorry this is so long, but it's late here and I need to vent. Thank you in advance for your prayers.

As your subject said "Trusting God" the only thing and the BEST thing to do. As Oma said, no words but you've got my prayers on your behalf.
I am reminded of the words of a song I heard in church Sunday morning, "God will make this trial a blessing though it sends me to my knees" Don't know how, but once again, as you said "trusting God"

That is one of my favorite songs...
I've just come into a valley, one like I've never been before. I keep searching for a way out, seems like padlocks on the door. Oh there must be another sunrise, another sunset that I'll see. God will make this trial a blessing, just be paitient you will see.
I was not the first one to come into this place. You see every child of God this test he must face. It is here that God will mold you and make you what you ought to be. God will make this trial a blessing just be paitient you will see.

And my favorite verse of all, because it contains so much promise...
Now I'm standing on the mountain. Looking back I can see when I was in that lowest valley, His strong hand was leading me. Oh it's good to see the sunshine and to taste sweet victory. God has made this trial a blessing that's the love He has for me.
God will make this trial a blessing, thought it sends me to my knees. Though my tears flow like a river, yet in Him there's sweet relief. There's no need to get discouraged, there's no need t talk defeat. God will make this trial a blessing and the whole wide world will see.

Will be praying for you.

Thank you all for the words of encouragement. Thank you especially for the words to that beautiful song. I know God led me to this site, not only for help in ministry but also for Christian fellowship and encouragement.

Hi Ladoty,
Am praying too! BTW, I don't think sharing what's on your heart is bad "venting". We are suppose to "bear each other's burdens" so that kind of "venting" we like.

Jodi,
Thanks for sharing the words to that song. I'd never heard it before so I had to go looking it up on the internet to see if I could find who it was by and listen to the music. For those of you who want to hear it sung too. Found it at Benson Sound. You can listen to the demo. Think I'll have to sing that next time I sing at church. That was such a blessing.

Dear Sisters in Christ,
Thank you for your prayers. Please continue praying. I continue to believe God is going to intervene and answer our prayers. My dh is so depressed and we are having a very difficult time finding him any help due to our financial situation. My dh made the statement last night "You and T would be better off without me". Now I worry about leaving him alone for any reason. I know we are to "Cast our cares" and I am really trying to do so. Sometimes it's hard to see past the moment. I am still trusting in God, without Him I would not be able to face another day. I have begun a new business that I am able to work from home so I don't have to leave dh alone too much. Today he has an appointment with vocational rehab to see if they will help cover the expense of him going back to school to be retrained for some kind of employment. Please pray for my business and for hubby's appointment but most of all that God will allow dh to realize that he is loved not only by his family but by the God of all heaven and earth. A God that loves him so much that He sent His only son to suffer and die for him. What an awesome God we have. Thank you for your prayers and support.
Blessings,
Dolly

Glad I posted that song, I alsmost didn't because I felt kind of silly posting words to a song. But now I am glad I did. The song was recorded by the McKamey's. You can find sheet music to it in one of their songbooks (can't remember which one) if you need sheet music.

Dolly, will pray that the Lord will intervene and become very real to you and your husband during this trial.

On a strictly practical level. I would encourage you to seek assistance within your local county's Mental Health programs. There are usually programs to assist low income families.

I will pray that God provides for your needs and gives you His peace.

Thought I'd share an update with you. DH had a Drs appt this week. He will be out of work another 2 months minimum. Emotionally & mentally he is improving. (Lots of prayer and spending time in the Bible) I have been getting all the "detail" work done to start my own business. Something I can do from home and dh will be able to help out with it some. Have also picked up some freelance computer work from time to time. God is providing for our every need. I continue to be amazed at what an awesome God we have. Jehovah-jireh: The Lord shall provide.
