Hi Ladies

I guess I should admit that I am a little scared. My doctor (cardiologist) called me with results from some tests that he did last week.

I have had a heart murmer for several years (quiet possibly since birth). But it has become worse.

He had me schedule an IMMEDIATE appointment (next Tuesday at 12 noon) to meet with him to discuss the possible need for surgery.

As I watched the sonagram I kindo figured that they were going to suggest this..........but it still hit me like a ton of bricks.

I am only 47 years old and have been health and active (with the exception of this past year) my entire life. Please pray.

Good Moring Ladies

I am going in for heart surgery within the month. Who would have thought, I'm ONLY 47! The doctor kept trying to reassure me......."Now if you were 87 I'd just say lets keep an eye on this. But you aren't going to get another 40 years out of that valve" Now HOW is that reassuring

It is really a fairly common procedure and the recovery rate is VERY good!

However, it IS a serious situation. My heart has begun to exhibit an arrhythmia (sp?). This, actually, was what caused me to go to the doctor's in the first place. I just thought it was anxiety attacks (as did, initially, my doctor).

So on Thursday I go in for a heart catheterization. This is the beginning of a process that will take me through mitral valve replacement surgery and.............back to GOOD health!

Please keep me in your prayers and also keep Jim (my Hubby) in your prayers. He is such a sweetie , but very worried.

Ladies (ESPECIALLY Julia) Thank you! this site is so special! It reminds me of a chat room I stumbled upon when I first started using a computer.......jeesh over 10 years ago. The Lord is truely amazing, in that, He can bring strangers together and create bonds that glorify Him! I may never........NO I am SURE I will never meet any of you in this life. BUT I look FORWARD to worshiping our living God WITH you in Heaven. Thank you for your prayers and may the God of the universe bless and keep each of you always.

Oh, Oma, I 'm so sorry you're going to have to go through heart surgery! But so happy that it will take care of your problem. I'll be praying for you and Jim (that's my DH's name, too! ), and for the surgery to go well. Please let us know when it will be, and you can be sure there will be ladies praying.

You mentioned that we'd never meet any one, here on earth- Wouldn't it be neat if we could have some kind of get together weekend or something? I know we all live far away from each other, but wouldn't it be something to actually put faces with names.

I'm sure there would be a lady or two around here that could put together a fun weekend of fellowship and worship.

I once belonged to a Christian Chat room called the Upper Room (I think it was an AOL site) There were about 20 ladies. One Christmas we all exchanged Christmas cards with photos in them. It was really nice. I have one friend that I met in that room (over 10 years ago ) We still correspond and have developed a very close friendship. She and I have been trying to get together this entire time...........who knows maybe one day
